Several internet service providers are offering affordable internet for qualifying households during the COVID-19 pandemic. Use the following resources to find providers and deals in your area.

Find a provider offering free or low-cost access in your area:

  • Altice/Optimum is offering Altice Advantage 30 Mbps broadband free for 60 days to new customer households with K-12 and/or college students who may be displaced due to school closures and who do not currently have home internet access. 
  • AT&T/Access Program offers internet data to qualifying limited income households for $10 a month.
  • Charter Spectrum Broadband is offering free Spectrum broadband and Wifi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
  • Comcast Internet Essentials is offering 2 free months to low-income families who are new customers. All Xfinity hot-spots are free to the public during this time. Call 1-855-846-8376, no contract required. 
  • Cox Conect2Complete is offering the first 2 months of service free for households that qualify for this low-cost program. They offer other emergency response plans if you do not qualify. 
  • Cricket Mobile is waiving reconnect fees for customers who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic beginning March 14. Call 1-800-274-2538.
  • Sonic, a carrier serving communities in California, is offering 90-days of broadband service free to households with K-12 and college students, as well as people over age 60.
  • Sprint signed the FCC Agreement Not terminating service if they are unable to pay their Sprint bill because of COVID-19. Staring on 3/17 they are providing complimentary international calling rates from the U.S. to countries. Starting on 3/19 customers with metered data plans will receive unlimited data per month for 60 days (a minimum of two billing cycles) at no extra cost. They also are providing customers with an additional 20 GB of hotspot data per month.
  • SuddenLink by Altice is offering 60 days of free service for households with K-12 or college students. Call 1-888-633-0030.
  • T-Mobile is offering access to unlimited data to all current T-Mobile customers for 60 days. They are also providing additional hotspot data.
  • T-Mobile EmpowerEd Program offers more data for low-income households and is increasing the data allowance for schools and students using this program over the same period of time.
  • TDS is offering free internet to low-income families and college students. Call 1-888-287-8156.
  • Verison/Fios is waiving late fees. They signed the FCC Agreement. 
  • Verizon/Lifeline Program is a federal assistance program that offers discounts to qualified low-income customers.
