Finding Peer-Reviewed Articles

Interlibrary Loan

The Gangwish Library databases don't have the article you need in full text? No worries, this tutorial will show you how to request it!

Sharing a permalink for an article

Permalinks allow you to share articles with other Ottawa University students, faculty, and staff. These links need to be revised in order for them to work for users who are off campus or not using OU’s network connection. Follow these steps to get a permalink and revise it for an EBSCO host database:

  1. Go to the detailed record for article you want to share.
  2. From the tools on the right-hand side of the page, click on the  permalink icon  to open a permalink window above the record or article (or eBook).
  3. Copy the permalink. Example: https://myottawa-ottawa-edu.ottawa.idm.oclc.org/ics/clientconfig/htmlcontent/databaseloggingproxy.aspx?url=http://search.ebscohost.com.ottawa.idm.oclc.org/login.aspx?direct=true&db=ccm&AN=128620771&site=eds-live
  4. Paste the permalink somewhere you can edit it (email, document, etc.).
  5. Change https://myottawa-ottawa-edu.idm.oclc.org to https://myottawa.ottawa.edu
  6. Share the revised link. T Example: https://myottawa.ottawa.edu/ics/clientconfig/htmlcontent/databaseloggingproxy.aspx?url=http://search.ebscohost.com.ottawa.idm.oclc.org/login.aspx?direct=true&db=ccm&AN=128620771&site=eds-live
