Library Services & Policies: Course Reserves

This guide provides information on various library services, policies, and practices.

Course Reserve Services

Any item that is important for a course may be put on Course Reserves by an instructor. Students can visit the library service desk and borrow any item on Course Reserves.

What can be added to Course Reserves?

Library-owned and personal material can be added. You can also donate your new or gently used textbook to Course Reserves.

Check out and Return
  • Your OU ID card is required to check out items

  • Only one reserve item may be checked out at a time and you are responsible for knowing the date and time each item is due. There will be a note on the item as to how long the check out period is.

  • Materials must be returned to the desk from which they were checked out
