Citation Help: Citation Tools

This guide provides information on APA, MLA, Chicago/Turabian, and AMA citation styles.

NoodleTools

The Gangwish Library provides access for all students to NoodleTools, which is available in the library databases. Be sure you are logged in to the OU Portal. You will be directed to create your own NoodleTools account to save resources and lists you have created in the database.

This is innovative software that supports the research process and aids the user with bibliography composition and note-taking in APA, MLA and Turabian styles. Note: Each user must create a "personal folder" (i.e., select a personal ID and password) by clicking the "Create a Personal ID" button on the login screen before they can utilize the application.

NoodleTools Mobile App

Download NoodleTools Companion, our latest addition to the NoodleTools mobile platform! The iOS and Android apps are FREE for all NoodleTools subscribers. Students working in the library can efficiently scan a book's ISBN or search by author/title to generate a citation. After adding an annotation (or notes), the citation can then be routed directly into the student's NoodleTools project of choice. This app is optimized for phone screens, but can be used on an iPad or other tablet.

Library Services

The librarians at the Gangwish Library are available to teach citation styles.  They are also available for individual appointments.
